FAQs About Dermal Filler & Botox
We numb all of our patients prior to beginning the treatment to keep pain minimal. All filler injections contain Lidocaine, which is a numbing medication. Initially you will feel a small poke and some pressure, then the Lidocaine in the filler starts numbing the areas to minimize any discomfort during the procedure and for a couple hours after you leave.
This depends on the desired result and your body’s response to the product. On average, lip filler lasts 9-12 months and facial filler can last 18-24 months.
Bruising and swelling is common but temporary. Everyone is different, some people will experience bruising and swelling following their treatment some people may not have any at all.
Yes, we only use hyaluronic acid filler which can be dissolved with a simple enzyme injection. Depending on the amount of filler you have it can take multiple appointments to completely dissolve all of your filler.
You should wait at least 4 weeks in between Botox/filler before RF Microneedling the face. Your provider will go over your treatment plan to ensure you are on the correct timeline.
We carry all Juvederm, Restylane, and Revanesse fillers.
You should wait 30 days for filler and 14 days for neurotoxin before using your micro-current device.

FAQs About RF Microneedling
We will provide you with a topical numbing cream approximately 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment to assure you’re as comfortable as possible. Majority of patients report little to no “pain” during the treatment, however, please always keep in mind everyone is unique in the way they experience sensations.
Though downtime is minimal, we ask that you do not wear makeup for 3 days following the treatment to ensure that your skin is not introduced to bacteria. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness that may last for up to 1 week, if any, depending on treatment parameters & the patient’s own individual skin tolerance or sensitivity. It is strongly suggested to keep the area/s treated clean until the skin has had enough time to “heal”.
4-6 weeks is the recommended time frame between treatments for optimal results.
Some patients may see results as soon as four weeks. RF microneedling will produce gradual results and patients can expect to see improvements up to six months after treatment!
Face. Neck. Chest. Arms. Legs. Abdomen. Buttocks.
Depending on your goals, you can expect to have between 1-5 sessions. Factors depend on how aggressive your treatment needs to be and the severity of laxity and skin quality. We recommend purchasing packages of a minimum of 3 for optimal results. Single session maintenance treatments are recommended approximately 1-2 times a year as soon as you feel the need for another session, should you even feel the need.

Yes, we require you to shave is 24-48 hours before your appointment. We ask that you wait a few days after your treatment before shaving to ensure your skin does not become irritated.
Stop waxing and plucking at least 6 weeks before your appointment, shave the area 24 hours prior, avoid sun exposure for 2-4 weeks prior including sunless tanning lotion, check your medications, remove makeup or creams.
Most patients report 90 percent permanent reduction in hair growth but fluctuating hormones can make hair grow back. It is recommended to come back for a touch up every year.
You have hair follicles that are active and inactive. When you get the laser done you are killing your active hair follicles which will typically fall out somewhere between 1-4 weeks. When your hair does grow back in you might notice hairs are not as densely populated as before and some areas may be patchy. You have to keep getting laser treatments until you have less than 90% hair follicles growing. This is why laser hair removal takes several sessions- on average 6 but can vary from skin types and area of the body.
Laser hair removal will work best on brunette and black hairs because these have a higher amount of pigment to be targeted by a laser. The lighter the hair (blonde, red, white), the less pigment it holds. Laser hair removal may not always work on faired hair people because there may not be enough pigment in the hair to target.
You should cleanly shave within 24 hours prior to your appointment. Longer, thinner hairs are more likely to be in the laser’s path, so shaving before your appointment will help minimize the risk of burns and reduce the amount of time the laser is in contact with your skin. We do not shave onsite during your appointment because shaving too soon before laser hair removal can cause burns and increase sensitivity/discomfort to the laser.
It's best to avoid the direct sun 14 days leading up to your laser treatment and after. Exposure to the sun's UV rays cause pigment changes to skin that may not be treatable. This includes sunless tanning lotion also. After laser treatment your skin is sensitive. The skin will be healing from the “controlled injuries” from the laser’s micro beams. Skin may be red, swollen, and tender. Take the extra effort to protect your investment in the treatment and your skin. Your results will thank you!
The appearance of increased hair growth after laser hair removal can be concerning, but it’s important to understand that this is a normal part of the treatment process- this is called hair shedding! Some patients may notice more hair 1 – 3 weeks after laser hair removal sessions as follicles in the growing cycle begin to shed. During this process, exfoliating the skin can help hairs shed faster, or they will just fall out on their own. Shedding is a good sign that the treatments are working!
